PE Environmental Updates - 2026
PE Licensure in a Changing Landscape
As the engineering landscape shifts beneath the weight of rapid technological advancement, staying ahead isn't just an advantage—it’s a necessity. Inspired by the latest insights from one of our student-favorite instructors, Muhammad Elgammal, this webinar dives deep into the emerging trends and disruptive technologies currently reshaping our industry.
Whether you are a seasoned Professional Engineer or an aspiring EIT, this session will provide you with the actionable insights needed to navigate the complexities of modern engineering projects. We will explore the licensure gap and discuss rigor, readiness, and responsibility in a changing engineering landscape.

Celebrating Engineers Week: Transform Your Future
This webinar is a flagship event of our Engineers Week 2026 celebration. This year’s national theme, "Transform Your Future," is a powerful call to action for every member of the engineering community.
Engineering doesn’t just build bridges and circuits; it builds the possibilities of tomorrow. By joining us, you aren't just attending a lecture, you are participating in a movement to celebrate the ingenuity of engineers and taking a proactive step toward transforming your own professional journey.

What is Changing?
- Still 6 topics, but two changes:
- Environmental Health and Safety was changed to Environmental and Occupational Health
- Associated Engineering Principles was replaced with Sustainability
- Sustainability topic focuses on:
- Resource conservation (energy conservation, renewable and nonrenewable, material conservation, life-cycle analysis)
- Resilience (infrastructure vulnerability, climate impacts, redundancy, reliability)
- NCEES is shifting the exam's focus toward practical application.
- Notable changes include a system-based reorganization of topics and the integration of project management into relevant technical areas. These changes intend to make sure test-takers are evaluated on their ability to solve complex, real-world engineering problems rather than just recalling theoretical concepts.
