Can I ask my instructors questions as an OnDemand student?
Yes, OnDemand students (except for bootcamps and monthly subscriptions) can ask questions to instructors directly through their account’s “Question to Instructor” feature. This feature lets you send questions (with attachments like JPEGs), to the instructor for them to answer. Questions are typically answered within a few days’ time.
Can I set how much time I study a week in my Personalized Study Plan?
Yes, when you initially create your Personalized Study Plan, you will be prompted to enter the days and times you are available to study.
Can I share/transfer my course to someone else?
All School of PE review courses are protected under all applicable federal copyright laws. Your registration is not be shared and cannot be transferred to another individual. Please see the policy you received upon registration for more information.
Can I watch class videos offline?
Videos can only be viewed with an active internet connection. They are not able to be downloaded.
Do you offer a course completion certificate?
Yes, a Certificate of Completion can be downloaded directly from your Study Hub for all courses.
Does School of PE offer a military discount?
Yes, we do! We are grateful for our service men and women, and we hope to show that gratitude with a military discount. Please visit our military discount page for more information.
Does School of PE offer group discounts?
Yes, we do offer group discounts. Get a group of 5-9 students together and save $100 off each registration. A group of 10+ students saves $200 off each registration. Please see our group discounts page for more information.
Does School of PE offer tutoring sessions?
Yes, we offer individual tutoring sessions for students who may want more help preparing for their exams. You can find more information about School of PE tutoring here!
How can I watch the lecture videos?
Learn anytime, anywhere, or on any device (including handheld devices) with our easy-to-access lecture videos. Internet access is required to study.
How do I create my Personalized Study Plan?
The Personalized Study Plan is available in your Study Hub. Once you click on the icon, you will be prompted to answer a series of questions that will help create your plan.
How do I view my Personalized Study Plan?
Once your plan has been generated, you can simply click on the hourglass icon in your Study Hub. This will bring up your Personalized Study Plan. You can view your plan in list view or calendar view.
I am an undergraduate student. Do you have any discounts for me?
If you are a full-time undergraduate student, we can offer you a $300 discount toward registration. We require proof of full-time enrollment from your school to qualify for the discount. The student discount is not applicable toward monthly subscriptions. Please check out our undergraduate discount page for additional information.
How do I register for the FE exam?
To register for the FE exam, you must first create a free
account on the MyNCEES website, the official portal for the National Council of
Examiners for Engineering and Surveying. After setting up your account and
ensuring your personal details match your ID, you can register for the exam by
selecting your engineering discipline and paying the exam fee online. Once your
payment is processed, NCEES will send you an email authorizing you to schedule
your appointment at a Pearson VUE test center, where you can choose a
convenient date and time to take the computer-based exam.
How long should I study for the FE exam?
We suggest you start preparing for your FE exam at least three months in advance of your exam date, or that you study around 300 total hours.
How much does the FE exam cost?
The registration fee for the FE exam is currently $225, payable directly to the National Council of Examiners for Engineering and Surveying (NCEES). While this is the standard cost for the exam itself, be aware that some states may have additional application or registration fees, and you may also incur costs for study materials, an approved calculator, or travel to a test center.
How do I register for the PE exam?
To register for the PE exam, you must first create an account with the National Council of Examiners for Engineering and Surveying (NCEES). After logging in, you can register for the exam, select your specific engineering discipline, and choose your state. You'll then be authorized to schedule your exam appointment through the Pearson VUE website. It's important to check your state's licensing board requirements, as some states may require an additional application or approval process.

How do I apply for the PMP exam?
The application process involves three steps: (1) Confirm you are eligible, (2) Gather your information (projects you’ve led and training you’ve completed), and (3) Use your information to fill out the application at pmi.org. Once you have completed these steps, your application will be reviewed, and then you will have to pay an exam fee if you are qualified to move forward. Once approved, you can schedule your exam time at a testing site near you or take the exam online.
How many questions are on the PMP exam?
The PMP exam is comprised of 180 questions.
How much does it cost to take the PMP exam?
The exam fee for PMI members is $405. Non-members pay $555.
How should my study efforts change for the new PE Civil exam?
Your study efforts should not change significantly, you’ll just be focusing on depth topics instead of the more general breadth topics. You can feel confident signing up with an exam prep provider like School of PE who has tailored their PE Civil exam prep courses to the new format.
Am I still eligible for a free repeat if I take the PE Mechanical exam before October 1, 2025, changes and do not pass?
Yes, if you meet the eligibility requirements for our free repeat policy, you will still qualify—even if the exam content changes after your initial attempt.
Has School of PE updated the relevant PE Mechanical course content and resources?
School of PE’s in-session Live Online classes utilize updated materials. This includes course notes, the Question Bank, and flashcards. Our updated OnDemand materials are available now.
How do I access the updated PE Mechanical content if I’m unable to take the exam before October 1, 2025?
Our OnDemand materials updated to the new exam specifications are available now. In addition, updated Live Online class offerings are posted on our website.
How is School of PE updating its PE Mechanical content if no one has taken the new exam yet?
Our curriculum is updated based on the official NCEES specifications. We work closely with subject matter experts to ensure our materials align with the published changes, even before the new exam is administered.
