Celebrating Engineers Week: Transform Your Future
This webinar is a flagship event of our Engineers Week 2026 celebration. This year’s national theme, "Transform Your Future," is a powerful call to action for every member of the engineering community.
Engineering doesn’t just build bridges and circuits; it builds the possibilities of tomorrow. By joining us, you aren't just attending a lecture, you are participating in a movement to celebrate the ingenuity of engineers and taking a proactive step toward transforming your own professional journey.

What is Changing?
- Still 6 topics, but two changes:
- Environmental Health and Safety was changed to Environmental and Occupational Health
- Associated Engineering Principles was replaced with Sustainability
- Sustainability topic focuses on:
- Resource conservation (energy conservation, renewable and nonrenewable, material conservation, life-cycle analysis)
- Resilience (infrastructure vulnerability, climate impacts, redundancy, reliability)
- NCEES is shifting the exam's focus toward practical application.
- Notable changes include a system-based reorganization of topics and the integration of project management into relevant technical areas. These changes intend to make sure test-takers are evaluated on their ability to solve complex, real-world engineering problems rather than just recalling theoretical concepts.

Why is Licensure Important?
Earning a PE license is a defining milestone that elevates an engineer’s professional standing and career potential. It serves as a formal verification of expertise, granting the legal authority to take full responsibility for projects, sign and seal designs, and provide independent consulting services.
Ultimately, licensure is an essential commitment to public safety. It ensures that those leading complex engineering efforts have met rigorous standards of education, experience, and ethics. For any professional looking to move into high-level management or specialized leadership, the PE credential is a fundamental requirement for long-term advancement and credibility within the industry.
